High Rise hosts two prestigious Sensory Training Workshops

We are delighted that leading sensory expert, Becky Lyddon is running two of her popular Sensory Training Workshops in High Rise. The workshops take place as follows:
Tuesday 31 March: 10am-12.30pm
Tuesday 31 March: 6.30pm-9.00pm
Refreshments included at both workshops, which will include an opportunity to view our new, state-of-the-art Sensory Room and Quiet Room here in High Rise.
The workshops are suitable for parents, carers, students and professionals, and will cover the following:
- The importance of our senses
- What sensory integration is
- What a Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) is
- How we can recognise a SPD
- How it might feel to have a SPD
- Practical ways we can support sensory development for children and adults.
Becky, who is a leading expert in this field, is coming over from England to deliver this workshop – she only visits Northern Ireland a couple of times per year, so this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to benefit from this highly valuable training.
The cost to attend is £42.50 per person.

About Becky Lyddon, workshop trainer
Becky Lyddon founded Sensory Spectacle in 2014 to create a better understanding of sensory processing difficulties, and therefore a better awareness of it. Becky delivers events, conferences and workshops to give people an opportunity to experience what it may be like to have a sensory processing difficulty. Becky has worked closely with schools and organisations in the UK as well as Dubai, Mumbai, Kampala and Amsterdam, to educate and support parents, carers, teachers and other professionals.
