High Rise is a Social Enterprise, owned and run by local charity Employers For Childcare. 100% of the profits from High Rise are invested in the work of our charity, supporting parents to get into, and stay in work. So every time you visit High Rise, as well as enjoying a fun day out, you know you’ll be making a difference to families who need our help.
In designing High Rise we were passionate that it should be a place where all families could come to ensure time together, whatever their ability. That’s why High Rise is inclusive and accessible – we offer activities for those with additional needs and the centre features a Changing Places accessible toilet.

In designing High Rise, we were passionate that it should be a place where all families come to enjoy quality time together, no matter what their ability. Prior to opening, we carried out research with families of children with additional needs, who told us that often they have to ‘separate out’ to enjoy activities with their children. High Rise is different, High Rise is for everyone.

High Rise was delighted to be named ‘Best New Business’ in the Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council Awards in 2020.
We received the prestigious Impact Award from Autism NI in recognition of how we have created an ‘autism friendly environment’ for our guests. It is really important to us that High Rise is inclusive and welcoming for all of our guests, whatever their ability.
