Even as I write these words, I can’t quite believe it. More than two years since we said goodbye to our last wonderful guests, High Rise is ready to reopen. Yes, our famous pink doors will once again swing open, ready to welcome back our excited guests on Saturday 2 July Just in time for the school summer holidays (when the sun usually decides to stop shining just as parents and carers look ahead to eight long weeks of keeping the kids entertained!)
We know this has been a long time coming and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us during the time we’ve been closed – the messages of appreciation and the hopeful enquiries about when you can come back to see us again have given us much encouragement over the past two years. We have been using the time to plan ahead so that when we reopen this summer, we’ll ensure High Rise continues to deliver the very best in customer service to each and every one of our valued guests.
High Rise will initially be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for Clip ‘n Climb and soft play, together with the Changing Places toilet and the café. We plan to reopen our Sensory Rooms and to relaunch our party packages later. Of course, in the meantime, guests are welcome to book group activity slots for Clip ‘n Climb or soft play and our café will be open serving hot and cold drinks and snacks.
We are thrilled to have recruited a new Operations Manager, Catrina Walsh, who has a wealth of experience in the leisure industry and will look after the day to day running of the centre. She is joined by our new Fitness and Leisure Manager, Chris McBride who is our expert on all things climbing having worked in leisure both locally and internationally, including in the home of Clip ‘n Climb New Zealand. Catrina and Chris are both hard at work getting the centre ready for reopening including training our brilliant new staff team. We are keen to build the best staff team in the business and are currently advertising for a number of roles.
We can’t wait to welcome guests back to the centre. Make sure you follow on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for all of our news. See you all soon!
