*Please note that the Sensory for Babies classes have been pushed back by 1 week and will now start on Thursday 14th September and run for 6 weeks.
A new six-week programme of sensory for babies classes starts in High Rise Lisburn on Thursday 14th September. Sensory for babies at High Rise take place in one of our two interactive sensory rooms and are delivered by the centre’s Sensory Assistant. We have designed a stimulating and fun programme of classes to support babies’ sensory development. Babies, along with a parent, will explore a new theme each week, including:
The classes will be held in one of High Rise’s specialist multi-sensory rooms, and will make use of the state of the art sensory equipment within the room, such as the bubble tube, projector and lighting – as well as a range of sensory toys.
There are six spaces available in the sensory for babies class at High Rise, which will be held on a Thursday morning from 9.45am-11am. This will include some free time to explore the sensory room after the class activities, and a cup of tea or coffee will be provided. The classes are suitable for babies from around six weeks old up 9 months (or crawling age) approximately.
The cost is £60 for the programme of 6 classes (held weekly) and this includes a certificate for each baby after their special graduation ceremony.
Bookings can be made online here. The previous classes all sold out very quickly so early booking is recommended!
Guests who attended the classes previously really enjoyed the experience, telling us:
“We attended our first sensory for babies class today at High Rise. We have gone to a number of different baby classes and this has been our favourite so far. Julie is a credit to High Rise, she had a well thought out session planned for us and interacted well with all the babies. The tea and coffee at the end is a lovely touch to get chatting with other new parents!”
“Amazing classes in sensory room, such creative, fun ideas and brilliant class leader”.
“Loved ordering a coffee before going n and knowing we can sit and chat after while feeding – great idea!”
“Excellent class making use of High Rise’s unique facilities – the consistent structure meant that my baby ended every session relaxed. The centre is clean and pram accessible and the staff are fantastic”.
“Myself and my baby loved the class – she always fell asleep after each class. Looking forward to the next term”.
