Who we are

High Rise is not just an adventure centre; it’s a place where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can feel welcome and included.

With a range of activities and facilities including Northern Ireland’s largest Clip ‘n Climb arena, soft play areas, two sensory rooms, and meeting rooms, High Rise welcomes individuals and families of all backgrounds and we are committed to providing a supportive environment where guests of all ages and abilities can enjoy an inclusive social experience.

High Rise was awarded the prestigious Autism NI impact award in recognition of the way we support autistic guests and their families in visiting the centre, and the High Rise team play a crucial role in delivering that inclusive experience for our guests.

The role

As a Sensory Support Co-ordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all guests, including those with learning, physical, and sensory difficulties, have a memorable and enjoyable experience at High Rise.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting guests in utilising and benefiting from our sensory rooms.
  • Providing general support to guests with additional needs across all activities within the centre.
  • Developing and delivering sensory classes and relevant training sessions.
  • Supporting events and marketing initiatives aimed at promoting inclusivity at High Rise.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of the Sensory Rooms in accordance with our standards.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking an individual who is warm, enthusiastic, and empathetic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience working with children or adults with additional needs is preferred.

This is a Rank Foundation funded entry-level role for someone new to, or re-engaging with, the workforce – such as a graduate, an unemployed returner or someone working part-time who is looking to progress to full-time. Job share can be considered. Applicants must be over the age of 18.
