High Rise owners, local charity Employers For Childcare is offering free soft play sessions for children at its Lisburn adventure centre, High Rise, on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 November. The charity, which works to support parents locally and all across the UK to be better off, is opening its doors for families to enjoy its soft play areas and all the fun the centre has to offer.
Speaking about the generous gesture, Employers For Childcare Chief Executive, Marie Marin said: “After the expense of half-term and with Christmas just around the corner, we know it’s a really expensive time for families. We want all children to be able to access high quality play and understand the benefits to parents of being able to get out and about and socialise with other families, especially during the darker winter days. This is why we are opening up our soft play area on selected dates between now and Christmas to all families. Admission is totally free – there’s no catch – other than we would ask families to pre-book their session as numbers will be limited”.
Marie continued: “As a Social Enterprise, every single visit to High Rise helps our charity continue its vital work, supporting families, so we’d like to thank everyone who visited over the recent half term school holidays. Their support makes it possible for us to offer these free sessions for families during the winter months”.
Free soft play must be pre-booked online for Thursday 7th and Friday 8th November – details as follows:
Wee Kids Club (for children under 3): 10am

Big Kids Club (recommended for children age 3-8): 11.30am-5pm (last entry 3.30pm)

No catch at all! These sessions are completely free, but pre-booking is required to help manage numbers on the day. Simply book online and get ready for a fun-filled adventure at High Rise!
If you book a spot and can’t make your session please let us know by emailing us at contact@highriseni.org so we can free up your space for another family.
The free soft play sessions are part of High Rise’s mission to support families. Operated by local charity Employers for Childcare, High Rise is committed to helping families thrive. Recognising the financial challenges many are facing, High Rise believes that all children should have access to play, regardless of financial circumstances. This initiative allows families to enjoy quality time together without the added worry of cost.
Yes! Families with children under the age of 8 are welcome to book. However, these free sessions are not available for group bookings (e.g. schools, nurseries, or day care centres/childminders) to ensure more individual families can participate.
