Free Soft Play at High Rise Lisburn now every week!

Published: 10 January 2025

Are you looking for a fun-filled day out with your little ones? High Rise is now offering FREE soft play sessions for families on Thursdays and Fridays at its adventure centre in Lisburn. Whether your child loves sliding, scrambling or simply exploring, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some adventure, and the best part is that it won’t cost you a penny!

When are the Free Soft Play sessions at High Rise?

High Rise will be opening its doors every Thursday and Friday during term-time, from 10am, for free soft play. Each session will last for 90 minutes, giving your little one plenty of time to explore the fun-filled soft play areas while you relax and enjoy a coffee or some freshly cooked lunch from our café. Spaces are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to book early to avoid missing out.

  • Under 3s sessions: 10.00am-11.30am
  • Over 3s sessions: 11.30am-5.00pm Thursday (last entry 3.30pm) and 11.30am-2.00pm Friday (last entry 12.30pm)

Why are the sessions free?

High Rise is part of local charity Employer for Childcare, whose mission is to help families be better off, and all profits from High Rise help to support local families.

The charity recognises the financial challenges many families are facing and believes that every child should have access to the benefits of play, regardless of their financial situation. This initiative is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, have fun, and create lasting memories without worrying about costs.

In 2024, Employers For Childcare gifted £15k worth of free soft play sessions to local families. The feedback has been incredible, with one parent telling us:

“My son just loves High Rise! It’s great to be able to treat him to the free soft play sessions when I struggle to make ends meet. He feels like this is a real treat for him, thank you!”

What's included in the Free Soft Play?

The High Rise soft play area is a haven for adventurous kids! The soft play zone is packed with exciting features, including:

  • Slides
  • Climbing frames
  • Interactive play areas
  • Tunnels and more!

Whether your little one is a fearless climber or a curious explorer, there’s something for everyone at High Rise. Find out more about the soft play at High Rise here.

Parents are responsible for monitoring their children during these sessions, and for the safety and enjoyment of all children attending, we ask guests to respect the age guidelines. The 10am session is for younger children (under 3) and the later sessions, from 11.30am, are recommended for children age 3-8.

Can Anyone Book a Free Session?

Families with children under the age of 8 are welcome to book a free soft play session. To ensure there is adequate adult supervision, there is a booking limit of 3 children per adult attending.

These free sessions are not available for group bookings such as schools, nurseries, or daycare centres, to ensure as many individual families as possible can enjoy the free sessions.

For larger groups, High Rise offers fantastic group packages available 7 days a week by arrangement – get in touch to enquire about planning a group visit.

How Do I Book Free Soft Play at High Rise?

Go to the High Rise website, select the date and time of your planned visit and book your session – you’ll need to set up an account if you haven’t visited before. For future visits, you can log in and make your booking quickly and easily. Spaces for the free soft play sessions are released one week in advance.

Is the High Rise café open?

Yes. The High Rise café is open from 10am on Thursdays and Fridays, serving freshly made hot food at subsidised prices. So don’t worry if you didn’t have time for breakfast in the school run rush, pick up a delicious home-cooked bite to eat during your visit.

Please note: High Rise has a strict no picnics and allergens policy. No food/drinks may be brought into High Rise.
